Hon. Emelia Arthur expressed her appreciation to ADB for its continued support to the sector. She noted that stronger partnerships with institutions such as ADB are vital in advancing the government’s vision of a resilient and inclusive fisheries sector.

“We are grateful for ADB’s commitment and look forward to building an even stronger partnership that will deliver greater impact and improved services for all stakeholders in the fisheries and aquaculture sector,” the Minister said.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both institutions to strengthen synergies that will benefit fisherfolk, fish farmers, and the broader fisheries value chain, while contributing to national food security and economic growth.
