The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between NUGS and the Ministry while inspiring the next generation of female leaders.During the interactive session, Hon. Arthur shared personal and professional insights, emphasizing the importance of resilience, discipline, and purpose-driven leadership. She encouraged the participants to focus on their unique strengths and avoid unnecessary comparisons, urging them to conduct personal SWOT analyses to better understand their leadership potential. Recounting her own journey, the Minister reflected on her early leadership roles as a school prefect, her transformative National Service experience in community development, and her eventual rise to Parliament after 24 years of perseverance. “Leadership requires patience, simplicity, and discipline,” she noted, cautioning against frivolous spending and underscoring the value of modest living.
