Hon. Emelia Arthur, Minister for Fisheries & Aquaculture, visited Anlo Beach in the Western Region to engage with fisherfolk on pressing challenges. Key issues raised included the impact of tidal waves contaminating drinking water, economic hardships forcing children to sea, and the need for alternative livelihoods.
The Minister assured the community of the government’s commitment to strengthening sea defenses, enforcing fisheries regulations, and supporting sustainable solutions.
The ministry remains dedicated to improving the welfare of fisherfolk and protecting Ghana’s fisheries.
