As part of the ongoing Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing Dialogue Process, this strategic meeting focused on: Addressing the EU Yellow Card Status: Evaluating Ghana’s progress toward resolving the issues that triggered the EU’s 2021 yellow card warning and defining concrete steps needed to restore full compliance and have the status lifted.   Cracking Down on Illegal Fishing:

Enhancing monitoring, control, and enforcement across Ghanaian waters. Boosting Fisheries Governance: Elevating compliance standards to international levels and updating domestic legal frameworks.   Securing Marine Resources:

Protecting coastal livelihoods, safeguarding seafood export markets, and ensuring sustainable fish stocks for generations to come.   This collaboration highlights Ghana’s unwavering resolve to build a thriving, sustainable blue economy alongside global partners.
